Day 23—Getting Rid of the Lie Brought on by Satan Is Near the Top of the List.

We need some pretty strong understanding with regard to this first statement from Paul. Let’s see it from the King James Version. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another—Ephesians 4:25.

When I gained my first glimpse of this in the Original, it took my special attention. I noted that the word lying is a Noun with a Definite Article. This means it should read “the lie.” This means a specific lie. Right away I supposed it had reference to the original lie from the serpent in Eden. Our Parents embraced it. Its poison has come through all the human race. We can read about it in Genesis 3:1-5. One of the earliest articles I ever wrote—over twenty-five years ago—was about this. It was never given out except to a very few. I remember reading it before a congregation of believers one night and the Holy Spirit fell upon us before I could even finish it. I hope I can find it so it can be republished for this hour.

But, for the present, let me admonish you to renounce “the lie.” Let the grace and power resident in the grace of God’s Kingdom work to set you free from it’s power.

And—let me further admonish you to ask the Lord to place within you the love of the truth, mentioned by Paul in that very important passage, II Thessalonians 2:11,12.

GRACIOUS LORD, I have not had enough understanding to deal with “the lie” that came upon us from Satan. But, this is one thing for certain: I want to be free from its stronghold in my life. Work in my family, in these friends that I hold dear. Work in our government leaders. Draw us all into the Truth of Your Kingdom. Let Your Truth reign in us. And DEAR LORD, place in my heart the love of the truth.
